This piece is called "A walk in the woods". It is custom framed in a 17x17 frame that my woodworker hubby made. He even added beautiful splines on the corners. The opening inset frame is 14x14 and trimmed with oak. The art quilt was done in a combination of Bargello ,applique and free motion quilting. I live in the beautiful Bitterroot valley of Montana, where the inspiration for this scene came from. The frame has a ledge on the back making it easy to hang or set on an easel.
